Link Love and PI Goodies for Hanukkah 5768

With the holidays fast approaching, a lot of websites are busy publishing Holiday Shopping Guides. Some of my favorites so far:

  • Time Goes By’s Holiday Gifts for Elders, which I think is full of great gift-giving ideas even if you don’t fall into the “Elder” category. Great suggestions in the comments too.
  • Unclutterer’s 2007 Gift Giving Guide, which focuses on gift giving that won’t end up cluttering your or your recipient’s house. (Updated to point to the entire series of Guides)
  • Ziva over at Designist Dream has been running a fabulous daily Hanukkah Gift Guide focusing on homegrown (ie Israeli) made items. There’s a daily gift idea for men, 2 for women and one for kids. Even if you don’t live in Israel, check out these products, many if not most available for purchase online.
  • Next is a website dear to my heart being a crafter, take the “Buy Handmade Pledge” site with links to some of the major indie crafter sites. Not just for the holidays, support indie crafters all year long.
  • This is also the time of year that many people make a special effort to donate to charities. If this especially speaks to you, please consider Kiva.org which has gift certificates available for giving. On the home grown front, please consider donating to Yad Sarah, which provides essential services to Israel’s disabled and elderly at nominal or no cost to the recipient.
  • For any of you PhotoImpact users out there, the PhotoImpact International Board has started it’s annual “Gift-a-Day” calendar online.

With the first night of Hanukkah just around the corner (Tuesday, Dec 4) I just wanted to wish everyone who celebrates a Happy Festival of Lights and share some of the PI Objects I’ve made in the past.

All the above are available in the 200712-JenT.ZIP file and can be downloaded from the Box.net widget in my sidebar. Also included in the ZIP file are the SMP for the Star of David Painting Fill and the SMP for the sufganiyah (Jelly Bismark) Preset. If you are having any trouble importing the SMPs or using this Goodie, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
