A Tribute To Spring
Jerusalem Walkabout 02, originally uploaded by JenT.
Or the two weeks that pass for spring here.
Last weekend we spent some time with family hiking the Judean Hills in 35C heat. (Lucky them, the Judean Hills are just out their front door and they can do this all the time.) After a 50-minute slow and steady uphill walk, we reached Ein Kerem and then near sprinted to the ice cream shop in the village square to cool off.
(And in case you didn’t notice, this is also a test post to my blog from flickr.
)
Near immediate update from the WordPress.com Dashboard: The photo and text came through fine from flickr. Posting from flickr adds a border around the photo and autolinks it to the image’s page on flickr (which is required as a part of the flickr ToS) On WordPress.com’s end, your default category is assigned to the Post, as well as using any “publicize” settings you may have. In my case, this Post from flickr was also pinged to Twitter.
However, keep in mind that when posting from flickr, your Post appears with no social bookmarklet, which has to be added manually, no tags or additional categories. Also, your Post is published immediately.
On flickr, you have the option of choosing a blog “layout” as a part of your set up. I chose the “500 pixel wide on its own line” layout. With Matt’s comment in the forums that inline CSS will soon be stripped out of blogs that do not have the CSS upgrade, I would be very careful about using anything other than the standard layout, and keep your fingers crossed that it, too, remains unaffected.

So … thanks for your help! All fixed!!!
Kind regards, Andrea L
Hi Andrea, Thanks for stopping by from the forums. I hope you don’t mind terribly that I removed the post you left in the forum, as I did see it there. Glad to have been able to jog your memory and that this was resolved so easily. Cheers!
