Sheeee’s baaack!
Wishing all my friends who celebrate, a very happy and safe Halloween. (Once upon a time, of course, you didn’t need to add “safe” to your greeting and it makes me infinitely sad that we do now.)
In spirit, I’ll be going with you door-to-door, pillowcase in hand trying to quell my insatiable craving for mini-Butterfingers.
PI users: if you’d like the UFO for Emily (figure only), just drop me a comment with a working email address. The font used here is Gorey, both on the headstone and a bit distorted for the greeting itself.

Let Me Explain
No, there is too much. Let me sum up.*
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Just a few, in fact a very few, of the near-900 photos I took while we were on a short holiday in Switzerland and Germany over the Passover break. I’m slowly editing and posting more to my flickr photostream, if you want to see a slightly less abridged, but higher quality version.
Too many thoughts about this trip to get down in one post. To sum up for now, a much-needed and welcome break visiting with people I love and people I admire.
Maybe more later…

28th Anniversary Roadtrip
Went something like this:
Sorry for the dearth of posts. Really. These pictures were taken in June, when it was just hot. Now it’s browbeatingly, torturously hot. The kind of hot where standing next to your oven while it’s in self-cleaning mode seems a pleasant breeze. Where if you don’t eat ice cream every 5 minutes, your brain will melt and leak out your ears. Oh, OK, I think you get the picture.
In other words, blogging will continue to be light for a while. Go eat some ice cream while you’re waiting.
